How are tasks generated?
Security tasks are created after a network scan discovers any connected devices. Any newly discovered devices will create new security tasks for you to complete.
Where can I find the tasks for each device?
Tap tasks at the bottom of the screen to show the available tasks for your devices.
How do I complete a task?
Each task gives you details about the task as well as guidance to complete the task if needed. To complete the task, follow the instructions on screen for each task to complete it.
How do I see tasks I have completed?
Completed tasks aren't visible, only the current and available tasks will be shown. If no tasks are present, it means you have completed them.
What is the difference between Critical, important and improvement tasks?
Tasks are assigned by their importance to your overall network risk. Critical tasks should be completed immediately to reduce your risk. Important tasks will also reduce your risk but aren't as high priority as critical tasks. Improvement tasks are items you should complete but likely won't affect your network's risk immediately. We encourage you to check and complete the security tasks as soon as possible to give you maximum protection.
What if I have no more tasks to complete?
Congratulations, it means you've completed every task available for your network. Re-scan your network occasionally or whenever you add a new device to check for new tasks.
I tapped 'done' but didn't complete the task. What should I do?
The device will need to be rediscovered by the network scanner as a new device. To do this, turn the device off and rescan your network. It should disappear from your device list, then power it on and rescan your network once more. The device will be discovered and the security task should reappear.
Why do I have a 'pending' tag on a task I tried to complete?
Your task is currently being validated by CyberAid to confirm it's been completed accurately. You will receive an in app notification once the validation is completed. If there was a problem, the task will be re-opened and available to complete again.
What if I submitted a wrong image to complete a task?
Don't worry, the submitted task will be rejected automatically and the task will be reopened for you to complete again.
Why would a task be rejected?
There could be a few reasons such as an incorrect or blurry image or the task not completed fully. If a completed task is rejected, carefully read the instructions and attempt to complete the task again.
