Virus removal steps
1. Download an antivirus program if you don't have one. If you don't have one but have a Windows PC, you can run MRT or Windows defender which are included in Windows.
2. Disconnect your device from the internet - It's good practice to disconnect your device to avoid further damage.
3. Reboot your router and device
4. Run the antivirus program to scan your device and follow instructions to remove any viruses and malware.
5. Reboot your device after the virus and malware is removed.
6. Change your passwords of any suspected programs or apps. This can avoid further damage if you have reason to believe they were compromised.
7. 2 Factor authentication - Check your apps and turn on 2 factor authentication where possible. This adds an extra layer of security to your accounts and apps.
