Two Factor authentication is an additional layer of security for your Twitter account. Instead of just entering a password to log in, you must also enter an additional security code or key.
This extra step helps ensure that you, and only you, can access your account. During registration, make sure you have a verified email address associated with your account. This way Twitter can use your email address to contact you and help you keep your account secure.
After you activate this feature, you'll need your password, along with a secondary sign-in method -- a code, app login verification, or a physical security key -- to sign in to your account.
