To add additional protection to your account, it is highly recommended to enable two-step verification (2SV). This is a common feature used to secure accounts, which adds an additional layer of protection that helps us verify your identity in the event that you log in from an unrecognised device.
Enable 2FA on Tiktok
To enable two-step verification:
1. Make sure you have the latest version of TikTok.
2. Tap on "Profile" on the lower left side.
3. Tap on the 3 lines icon in the upper left corner.
4. Tap on "Settings and privacy" .
5. Tap on "Security and login" .
6. Tap on "two-step verification" and select at least two verification methods. We recommend choosing SMS* and email.
7. Tap on "Activate" to confirm the selection.
8. If you have not provided your contact information before, you will be asked to enter an email address and a phone number.
9. Tap on "Send Code" , and on the next screen enter the verification code sent via SMS and email.
The next time you log in, a verification code will be sent to your email or phone. The two-step verification code must be entered when prompted to confirm your identity.
*Standard SMS fees may apply.
