Setting up a guest WiFi on your current network is a fairly simple task and won’t require any extra expenses or hardware. Not all routers have this capability - check with your Internet provider or router manufacturer to verify if yours is capable.
A guest WiFi creates a separate WiFi access point on your current network that you can setup securely but is completely separate from your main WiFi. The biggest benefit of doing this is allowing any device to securely connect to a WiFi network without accessing your main or primary WiFi.
General Instructions for setting up a guest WiFi network. Consult your router's manufacturer for specific instructions for your device.
1./ Log into your router - Search your router manufacturer and model if you’re not sure how to login. You can also contact your internet provider's support site, they usually have the login details for your router located there.
2./ Enter your username/password to log into it so you can adjust the settings.
3./ Find the guest WiFi/guest network setting.(it’s normally in the WiFi or administrator
tab/section).
4./ Enable guest Wifi. You will be asked for an SSID. This is the name that appears when you r guests search for WiFi networks.
5./ Enter a password for your guests to use when they connect to the guest network.
Optional/if applicable

Uncheck the “Allow users to access local area network resources.”

If applicable - Uncheck the “Allow users to access settings”
6./ Save changes and logout of router.
Your guest Wifi should now be visible and you should be able to connect to it.

As an added level of security, you can add your IoT devices such as smart TVs, speakers or other smart devices to the guest WiFi to keep them completely separate from your main WiFi.
